What does the Holy Spirit do in our lives? Pentecost reminds us that Jesus does not leave his people alone. He gives the Holy Spirit to fill us, empower us, unite us, and help us continue the work of his kingdom. When following Jesus feels bigger than what we can do on our own, the Holy Spirit meets us with the presence and power of God.

Why did Jesus leave His followers behind? After the resurrection, it may seem like Jesus should have stayed and fixed everything right away. But Scripture shows that Jesus did not abandon His people. He returned to the Father because His work was complete, and He left His followers with a plan: the Father’s care, the Spirit’s power, and a mission to bear witness until He returns.

Following Jesus is not just about believing the right things. In John 14, Jesus says, “If you love me, keep my commands.” This sermon explores how faith becomes a way of life through worship, love, obedience, the help of the Holy Spirit, and the call to share the hope of Jesus with the world.
